Chelsea 1 Stoke 0

Chelsea manages to win, through a daft piece of skill by Mata(might be unintentional), not through any real tactical superiority but more of crowding of the box. Ashley Cole was in the middle of the box after all. Well, a win is a win.

Somehow I think the referees always allow Stoke to get away with niggly niggly fouls that should be awarded to the other team. It irritates me to no end at how unfair it is. Or maybe it is just me but it really seems that the Stoke players kick the opponent's foot which then hits the ball away. Surely these are fouls. And do referees ever give a yellow for accumulated fouls? A player can kick another for 4 to 5 times and never get a card. I just know there's a rule for booking accumulated fouls. I'm just too lazy to find it. Not like i can go over and tell the referees that anyway.

Chelsea played well, just not well enough to get a really big win, while Stoke will feel aggrieved not to have at least scored a goal given the kind of chances they were presented on the counter-attacks or set pieces.

Oh. Moses as a one man show is good, but he needs to get his head up to spot teammates on a run.
